Here it is, the beginning of our Server Lore.

The world is in chaos. There are two evil powers that have risen to power, and can easily beat the Alliance or the Horde no hands down. The first power is the Shadowside Syndicate, a majorly unknown group dedicated to the destruction of existence. The other power is the newly revived Burning Legion, continuing their assault once again on the lands of Azeroth and the remnants of Draenor. Due to the chaos that ensued after the events in Northrend, the Black Temple, and the Isle of Quel'Danas, the old factions of the Horde and the Alliance split up. Old friends became new enemies, and fighting broke out even between those that had gotten along for the past wars. The Humans blocked off the Deeprun and feuded with the Gnomes and Dwarves. The Tauren quarreled with the Orcs about the deforestation of Ashenvale. The Blood Elves were completely cut off from the rest of Azeroth to the Forsaken suddenly closing themselves off from the rest of existance. The Night Elves began to zealously persecute the Draenei for the corruption of Bloodmyst Isles, even after the steps the Draenei took to clean up their own mess. Even the minor races, like the Tuskarr and the Naga, felt themselves drawn into what seemed like a free-for-all of all the races. Wars raged on for two years after the breakdown of the factions, seeming to have no clear cut victor in any conflict.

Finally, a small group of dragons, led by the Red Wyrm, Runei (Runialstrasz) was sent out to gather the races of Azeroth into a single council, later named the Azerothian Council. The results were almost immediately positive. After one year of negotiations and diplomacy between most of the races had come to the result: The Azerothian Union. Also, a new system was imposed that allowed increased relations with other races. This system: The Free Azeroth System. With it, the inhabitants of Azeroth will now find themselves able to go virtually anywhere on Azeroth without resistance.

How does this system work? Should any race attack another, the rest of the races in the Union will stop those that have started the conflicts. Although almost totalitarian in nature, the system has yet to see a breakout of war between races, and peace has prospered over Azeroth.

There is still conflict between races, however. Some races are allowed in other major cities, while others are not allowed in at all. Even those that are let in have a slight possibility of being treated unfairly or with malice. Although they are now allied, the races are still uneasy. Only an incredibly difficult situation would cause the races to shed aside their difference and protect their planet.

This is the dawn of a new age. The coming of the dark tide is upon the newly allied races of Azeroth.

Only time, luck, and YOU can find out the outcome of the new age in Azerothian History.
